| Abbaye
de Loc Dieu |
| |
Close to the village of Martiel, in the country of the megalithic tombs and numerous roaming robbers, thirteen monks founded, in 1123, the first Cistercian abbey of the Rouergue. This place, that used to be a country where people were terrorized, became a sanctuary, a place of God, the Locus Dei, Loc Dieu.

| Najac |

Najac is classified as one of the most beautiful villages of France. As an ancient royal 'bastide' (fortified village) it appears in the guide 'Pays d'Art et d'Histoire des Bastides du Rouergue'.
In 1253, Alphonse de Poitiers transformed the castle of the Counts of Toulouse into a magnificent stronghold, a real masterpiece of the military art of the 13th century. At the same time he developed the adjacent village in the form of a beautifully designed 'bastide'

| Pech Isser |
| |
On a hilltop opposite Pech Blanc (a walk of 20 min.) you’ll find Pech Isser, an old propriety of a knight of the 17th century, fully in the style of the Quercy region. Pech Isser is indicated already on the map made by Cassini under Louis XV. In the first half of the 20th century it was part of the Castle of Cénevière at the nearby river Lot. Close to the pigeon tower, in a stone over a doorway, the year 1656 is engraved. In the 21st century you’ll find the years 1834, 1843, 1848 et 1874 engraved, giving evidence that the buildings were restored in that period. About 1950 Pech Isser was acquired by a family leaving for the French colonies and since then it is abandoned.
